TOKAT (AA) – Search efforts continue to find 2 young people who fell into the Kelkit Stream in Erbaa district of Tokat and were swept away by the current. A search is being carried out to find İlker Parlak (22) and Oğuz Kale (26), who were among the four friends who fell into the water while taking selfies with a scooter on the edge of the Kelkit Stream, near Park Vadi in the town centre. 142 personnel from the Disaster and Emergency Directorate (AFAD), police, fire brigade and medical teams, 5 drones, 26 vehicles and 4 boats, as well as Gendarmerie Search and Rescue (JAK) teams and police diver teams are participating in the work.

Divers are searching the water and other teams are searching the shore to find Parlak and Kale. The families of the missing people also follow the search efforts. On May 28, 4 friends, who were taking selfies with a scooter near the Kelkit Stream in the district and were found to be relatives, lost their balance and fell into the water. Atakan Kale and Furkan Kale, who went to the islet in the water, were rescued, while İlker Parlak and Oğuz Kale were swept away by the current and disappeared.
