The “Circle of Fertility” exhibition presents the reflections of spiritual heritage to the audience

– Curator Numan Noyan Küçük: – “The artworks produced about our Prophet are not just indicative visuals.

ISTANBUL (AA) – ÖZLEM LİMON – The Circle of Blessings exhibition, meeting with art lovers at the Mimar Sinan Gallery in Üsküdar, Hz. It reflects the traces of love for Muhammad in art, daily life and collective memory. Hz. The exhibition, prepared on the occasion of the 1500th anniversary of the birth of Muhammad, was prepared in cooperation with YediHilal Association and Vakıf Katılım. With its symbolic narrative that begins with the call to prayer, the exhibition takes visitors on a journey consisting of sections titled Meeting, Conversation and Longing.

In the exhibition curated by Numan Noyan Küçük, works selected from collector Fatih Ketancı’s Folk Muslim collection are also presented to the visitors. – We thought about how the love for the Prophet Muhammad could be expressed from the perspective of the Turkish people. Project Writer and Curator Numan Noyan Küçük stated that the current year coincides with the 1500th Hijri year of the birth of the Prophet Muhammad and said, “We are in a very valuable year.

We all need to have a responsibility for this. ‘What should we do?’ We asked ourselves the question. We are in art. I am also a curator and painter. We started within this framework. he said. Stating that they shaped the project together with artists, editors and collectors, Küçük said, “We thought about how the love for the Prophet Muhammad could be expressed from the perspective of the Turkish people.” We created very nice stops.

In this context, we developed the project and knocked on the door of YediHilal and Vakıf Katılım. Thus, the ‘Department of Fertility’ emerged. he said. Stating that the exhibition was structured around the concepts of Meeting, Affection and Longing, Küçük said, “We structured the project in this way. The works of art produced about our Prophet are not just indicative visuals. There are also literature, poetry and different fields of art.

We tried to put forward a versatile structure. made his assessment. Küçük said that the people’s love for the Prophet Muhammad was explained with different examples in the exhibition, and that there were many examples from Fatih Sultan Mehmet’s ideal of conquering Istanbul to people traveling around Anatolia to record hymns. Noting that all of these are indicators of affection, Küçük emphasized that people show this with love, not with material things.

Küçük stated that they worked with contemporary artists with Fatih Ketancı’s Folk Islam collection and added: We worked mainly with graphic artists. The works that emerged within that framework were extremely compatible with each other. What we put forward in Folk Islam is folk studies… People sometimes ask, ‘How could you do it?’ How were you able to combine the two together?’ he asks. We, the artists, are among the public anyway.

We are people of faith, people of love. That’s why there’s no harm in them being together. Thus, it sits on a very beautiful ground. – It was necessary to conduct a literature review to produce a data basis. Ali Sürmelioğlu, the creative editor of the exhibition, also mentioned that the exhibition built a multidisciplinary universe and said: It was necessary to draw nourishment from theology, sociology, mysticism, history and literature.

A literature review was required to produce a data base. In order for people visiting the exhibition to become participants, hooks were needed to ensure belonging. Some of these are ‘Happy Friday’, ‘Break the Glass’… Presumably, interrelated narrative texts had to be established, as in Türkiye’s most used doorbell installation. Strengthening the message is our main concern. he said. Yasin Ünlüsoy, the art director of the exhibition, underlined that he felt great excitement when looking at the collection selection 7-8 months ago and said: If you noticed, there are very colorful works.

In fact, the fact that the works are so colorful and prominent here fosters sincerity. With this sincerity, I asked, ‘I wonder what I can do?’ I designed an area design saying: I can say that we have placed exactly what we had in mind, without changing the position of even a single nail since then. It is truly a great thing for us to take part in this special exhibition commemorating the 1500th Hijri year of the birth of our Prophet.

he said. Ramazan Karabacak, project director of the exhibition and Vice President of YediHilal, said that the idea phase of the exhibition lasted more than a year and that they opened the exhibition after five months of work, adding: “This exhibition actually tells about our childhood.” We can see this in the works. Our visitors always find something from themselves in the exhibition. We are talking about Anatolian Islam here.

Just as Anatolian people loved our Prophet with pure faith, this was reflected in their daily work. There is something about the Prophet Muhammad in almost every of his works. We will find this in this exhibition too. he said. Karabacak pointed out that the youth of the association also took an active role in the preparation, installation and guidance process of the exhibition. Stating that the exhibition prepared within the scope of the 1500th year of the Hijri calendar was a meaningful work for them, Karabacak stated that they were very touched and motivated by a primary school-age child leaving a note in the guest book: “This is a beautiful place for Muslims.” In the exhibition, which includes religious-themed folk paintings, postcards, plates, lithographs and photographs from the Republican period, works produced by contemporary artists around this theme can also be seen.

The exhibition will be open to visitors every day between 10.00-22.00 until June 21. 116Traditional products prepared by women in Bektaş village, with a population of 360 in Çanakkale’s Ayvacık district, are offered for sale through the cooperative they established. 216Traditional products prepared by women in Bektaş village, with a population of 360 in Çanakkale’s Ayvacık district, are offered for sale through the cooperative they established.
