According to the statement made by the Turkish Red Crescent, within the scope of the traditional sacrifice sacrifice by proxy campaign, it has completed the slaughter of the sacrifices it received for this year in 30 countries at home and abroad. The Red Crescent, which started sacrificing animals from the first day of the Eid, slaughtered a total of 199 thousand 846 shares, an increase of more than 18 percent compared to the previous year.

The Red Crescent, which received the sacrificial mandates from philanthropists with the campaign carried out with the slogan “If You Keep the Abundance of Sacrifice Alive All Year Long, May There Be a Crescent Turkey”, carried out 11 thousand 809 sacrifices in the country, 22 thousand 757 for Gaza and 165 thousand 280 shares abroad. – The sacrifices slaughtered in the country will reach the tables all year round. The Red Crescent turns the meat obtained from the sacrifices it carries out in the country into long-lasting canned roasting.

While the prepared canned food will be delivered to families in need throughout the year, some of the meat from the sacrifice will be used as hot meals in Red Crescent soup kitchens across the country. – 22 thousand 757 shares were sacrificed for Gaza. Red Crescent implemented the long-lasting roasted canned food model for those in need in Gaza this year. Having carried out 22 thousand 757 animal sacrifices for Gaza domestically, the Red Crescent aims to reach approximately 1 million people in need in the region as soon as aid is allowed to pass through, with approximately 391 thousand roasted canned meats.

Within the scope of the Sacrifice campaign, Red Crescent teams traveled to Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Kosovo and North Macedonia in the Balkans; Iraq, Syria and Yemen in the Middle East; Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan in Asia; In Africa, 165 thousand 280 shares were sacrificed in a total of 30 countries on three continents: Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Chad, Ivory Coast, Guinea, Cameroon, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Somalia, Sudan, Tanzania, Togo and Uganda, as well as the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

Sacrificial meat obtained from slaughtering animals abroad was distributed as fresh meat by maintaining the cold chain and delivered to approximately 4 million 132 thousand people in need.
