ANKARA (AA) – Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu stated that Çamlıca Tower, one of the tallest buildings in Istanbul, hosted approximately 2.8 million visitors in 5 years. In his written statement, Minister Uraloğlu reminded that Çamlıca Tower was put into service by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on May 29, 2021 and has been in operation for 5 years. Stating that the tower built in the form of a tulip is one of the important works that brings together technology, architecture and experience, Uraloğlu gave the information that the reinforced concrete body of the building is 201 meters and the steel antenna is 168 meters.
Pointing out that the tower stands out as the highest point of Istanbul with its height of 587 meters above sea level, Uraloğlu said, “We used advanced engineering techniques in the tower, which was built on an area of approximately 30 thousand 150 square meters. The reinforced concrete core, with a diameter of 58 meters and a depth of 21 meters, goes below the ground and provides a strong foundation for the structure.
The tower, consisting of a total of 49 floors, has observation terraces, restaurants and lounge areas.” he said. – “We brought 448 new radio frequencies to Istanbul” Uraloğlu pointed out that they offer different experiences to visitors at Çamlıca Tower and continued as follows: “At the Observation Terrace, which is the first stop of those who want to explore Istanbul from a different perspective, the silhouette of the historical peninsula, the unique view of the Bosphorus and natural beauties come together in a single frame.
