DIYARBAKIR (AA) – OSMAN BİLGİN – Young people are directed to technology with a robotic coding workshop in Diyarbakır. In the workshop held at the Yenişehir Youth Center within the Ministry of Youth and Sports, various training programs are carried out to introduce young people to science and technology. Students participating in the workshop receive theoretical and practical training in the fields of robotic coding, software development and basic engineering.
In this context, students are directed to technology through studies carried out on topics such as sensor use, basic electronics, algorithm development and robot design. – “We offer an environment where students can improve themselves” Taner Yılmaz, a robotic coding instructor at the center, told the AA reporter that the centers are important areas where young people can spend productive time and improve themselves professionally.
Stating that they make an effort to prevent young people from acquiring bad habits with the training they provide at the center, Yılmaz stated that they aim to keep young people away from harmful addictions. Yılmaz noted the following: “We want our young people to stay away from environments that may lead to addictions such as gambling and drugs. We prepare our students in the best way possible for competitions such as TÜBİTAK and TEKNOFEST.
In line with the vision of the Turkey Century, there is a need for qualified human resources in the field of technology and software. In this context, we offer an environment where students can improve themselves. We provide support for them to turn to fields such as computer and software engineering during the university preparation process. We also offer opportunities for them to improve themselves in areas such as the defense industry and the health sector.” – “I want to be a software engineer.” One of the students, Canşin Örnek (15), said that she lives in the neighborhood where the center is located and benefits from all the opportunities offered.
Stating that the center has an important place in his life,Object said, “We receive training in different branches here. I have attended various courses before, but the robotic coding workshop attracted my attention the most. We continue our future work here. I want to take an active part in Turkey’s defense industry in the future.” he said. Miraç Özavcı (12) stated that he enjoyed spending his time outside of school at the center.
Stating that the information he gained in the workshop is important for his future, Özavcı said, “I want to become a software engineer in the future with the training I received. I also aim to contribute to our country’s defense industry. I want this type of training to be widespread.” he said.
